I pull out the ashtray and wedge the cup, bottle, can whatever fits down there. I don't smoke and therefore don't have an issue removing it while I drink. I don't like that it hangs off the console, but it totally works... and looks almost stock. I'd thought a while ago (before the clip on cup holder came out) about replacing the ashtray area with cup holders. After taking the console off, I realized that there's simply no room there.
