Some things to check: Make sure there is a plug in the hole over the mixture screw in the mixture unit. The control pressure regulater could be bad The mixture screw could be way out of adjustment The throttle plates not returned all the way to idle. Large vacuum leak No electrical power at the control pressure regulater and-or cold start system You should also check to make sure you have a nice blue spark. A bad connection at the ballast resistors could cause a hard start.
