See message #30811. R30 differs slightly from stock DMC, but apparently bolted up OK to what I assume is original transmission. Martin G's PRV man pegged at 2.65 liters. Still scoots pretty well (once you tune correctly!) Are R30's available from domestic source? Given rest of my car, hard to believe original owner shipped one transatlantic. Have had good luck cross referencing 1985 Volvo 260 -- perhaps you could find one of those. Re: AMC Eagles -- only mentioned in much responded post because during quest to ID my block was suggested by 2 DML'ers as possible source. Renault did own controlling interest in AMC at this time, but two product lines never cross engineered (don't go popping hoods of AMC Eagles hoping to find a suitable doner).
