My advice to first-time, younger DMC buyers: Patience.

Yeah, I know, who could be patient at that age, especially if you're staring
a prospective DMC right in the face, and have the actual cash to buy it. I
bought my DMC when I was 20, and I certainly didn't have any patience. I
got a car that wasn't too bad, but needed a bit of prevetative maintenance
($2000). It had 8,888 miles (no joke).

Had I waited 2 months, I would have been able to buy a different car that
had better maintenance performed, 26,000 miles, a full set of service
manuals, a full set of DeLorean World magazines, and twin turbos... for $500
less.

So the moral is...ummm... enjoy life, but don't buy the first car you see.

Do I regret my purchase? No. Do I regret waiting? Well.. yeah... sorta.
