I have had this pip on my car for more than a year now and am quite
happy with the results. Can't say if it really is 10hp, as I haven't
had any dyno testing done on my car, but the car DOES respond better.
On a side-note: I also removed the hot/cold air valve in the intake
to allow better breating on that end too AND I had a tuneup done
with the swap of the pipe.
The car sounds better (a bit throatier), and feels better, so I'm
happy. I know of several other people who have these on and I have
yet to hear anyone complain...

I still feel it was $90,- well spent, if this is legal in your state
(in The Netherlands cars before a certain date don't require a cat)
I'd say go for it!

Good luck,
