Consider the current the fans draw. Now consider passing this current through a PCB track
a couple of millimetres wide. Now connect the brass (!) module "legs" to these tracks by
soldering a tip barely a millimetre across. Imagine what happenns when you unplug and
replace the module a couple of times. Dry joints anyone?!

I've replaced both the fan relay and the fan fail module with a pair of relays with
integrated 15A fuses, mounted in trailing sockets with the wires crimped so each fan is
powered from one relay.
