Have you ever replaced your oil pressure sender? As I understand it they
were never quite right coming off the line and (I think) the gauge is not
calibrated correctly for that particular sender. If you haven't replaced it,
I'd do that... it's easy to do and it's only about $30.
Mine read 80 psi all the time, except when I turned that car off. So, I
replaced the sender and the sensor to make sure I would always get an
accurate reading.
