You will find it at least 1 order of magnitude harder to do a swap then to try to use a stock drivetrain. You will be in "uncharted teritory" as there are no manuals to do this and few people have tried it. My advice is to at least try to keep it stock. It is also the best way to go for resale value and future serviceability. The costs of the parts will be a lot lower putting it back then to custom fabricate brackets, fuel, exhaust, electical and such. Many of these ambitious projects never are completed. FWIW.
