seat back falling apart

hey guys,

what's the best way to repair a seat back? mine is undone at the top. i can 
get the metal bracket to go back up in the seat and it looks good then, but 
as soon as i sit in the seat, it pops back out again. there is old glue 
around the edges of the back, so i know that a previous owner tried to fix 
the problem once already. the back is bent inwards, i think too. i was 
thinking maybe i could get some screws and screw it in, but it's all soft in 
there with nothing to screw into. 

any ideas?
