Jason,The blue wire with the yellow stripe comes from the ignition resistor 
bank on the rear fire wall and goes to the starter solonoid. This wire 
supplies power to the ignition coil through the resistor. Do not hook it up 
directly to the coil.
As for the ground. I have never had to track it, so I really can't answer any 
questions about whats behind the fire wall. All the diagram shows is the 
ground post on the battery going to ground.
