I don't have the electrical qualifications of the others in the debate... but
then neither do most of the rest of the list members, no doubt. Rule of
thumb I'd think would be: never disconnect an electrical cable under load,
(drawing or discharging current.) Some might be able to do it safely, but I
don't think I'd want to, especially standing on the nice damp ground
alongside my driveway. No offense to those who have the expertise to do it
otherwise! But I've gotten buzzed more than enough working "carefully" on
live wiring in my house or business. 8-*
