The way the door is designed, it is supposed to act as a lever, lifting
the car up around a foot and a half or something along those lines. (the
section of the door that is part of the roof, and the area above the
window are the parts used for the leverage) Although i have never heard
of this actually being used. The point of this is a person could get out
of the car. Of course, if someone was really stuck the could kick out the
side windows and go out that way. (again, a feature built into the car so
crash victims could get out.)
