Gas Struts

Hello

I was wondering if anyone knew, if he DeLorean was the only machine/vehicle 
to use the size of the gas struts on the doors, louvres, and trunk. 

This my be an extremely long stretch, but do you think that maybe the gas 
strut size is the same on like a tractor? I guess it's possible, but I doubt 
it. I will probably be ordering the set of six from DMC Houston.
