Re: [DML] low profile rims for Delorean



With regards to selling the twin turbo: I am not really sure what I have.
I bought the car sight unseen based of the sellers representations that all
was well. Upon backing it off the transporter it was clear that that was
not exactly the case. I drove it directly to my favorite repair shop with
the intent to diagnose and repair as required. The engine ran OK and
because of a significant driveline "clunk" I did not get on the power much.
Initial diagnosis was a chipped tooth on the ring gear (probably having
something to do with the two nitrous tanks in the front trunk that were the
size of scuba tanks). Also the spools were frozen on the turbos. While the
engine is complete, it clearly has been stressed and I would not want to
warranty it. If you are in the San Jose, Calif. area I would be willing to
show it to you. It has been "palletized" for the last four years. Don
