Scott, What you lost was the accessories, which never work when the key is removed. The other things like headlights always work regardless of the key position. This is what led me to suggest something in the ignition mechanism. Odd that you only have high-speed on the blower now...I've heard this symptom before but can't remember the exact cause. It may not at all be related to your other woes. The melted fusebox might be just coincidence, too, as I hear this is also a common occurance.
