My guess is that the fuel pump is getting shut off or shorted out. The inertia switch circuit links the power locks and the fuel pump (by coincidence, the subject of my thread this week). This should be relatively easy to solve. Check to see if the inertia switch has been bypassed. A really quick fix would be to unplug the power locks. (Some of us actually prefer to lock our DeLoreans manually anyway). If you invest an hour or two you could probably restore the circuit to normal. - Mike Substelny VIN 01280, 7 years
