I've done it by unwinding the old wire (measure and record the length) and getting the same gauge and length and carfully rewinding the solenoid. The wire can be obtained from shops that repair power tools, alternators, electric motors etc. The cost for the wire was just a few dollars. Just be sure to use the same gauge and length as the original. Burke
