Regarding fascia bolts ...
I replaced my bolts by:
- ordering replacements from one of the suppliers
- Grinding out the remaining portion of the bolts and its plate. Get a good
clean slightly rough mounting surface for best adhesion.
- Using polyurethane glue (black stuff used to install windows) put glue on
the fascia and imbed the plate portion of the bolt into the adhesive. Then
apply additional polyurethane to sufficiently cover the plate spreading it
evenly past the bolt's plate.
- When installing the fascia, consider using SS nuts
EVERYONE: you should periodically grease or apply a heavy wax to these bolts
to prevent rust or further rust. They are very small diameter and snap easy
should you need to remove the nut.
