[DML] Buzzy fan

My radiator fans don't usually come on. I've taken short trips since I got 
the D several weeks ago, and the air has been cool. Yesterday I went on an 
hourlong trip. Temp. rose to about 140 on the dial, and the fans came on. 
They sound kind of buzzy, like those cheap little battery operated hand held 
things. Especially on the passenger side. No, I don't have fanzilla yet. 
Is this normal? (I hope not, I guess!) If I have to replace the fan or 
fans, do I have (gulp) to remove the front fascia? Ain't no way those bolts 
are gonna unscrew. They're rusted solid. That's why I don't have my front 
(NJ) license plate mounted. So far, no problems with that tho.' They even 
ok'd me at the inspection station. I guess they were enjoying the car so 
much they hated to rain on my parade. :)
