[DML] Re: Lowering spings

Joe,

If I had a stock DeLorean, I could do this. My car has been lowered
with the DMC Houston spring set, which lowers the entire car. I
purchased the car with cut springs (They are for sale!)

I dont have my paper copy of the workshop manual here, so I have no way
to refer to that drawing. However, does the drawing reflect the how the
car was designed? or how it was shipped?

I can assume from your messages (you have not been clear on your
position) that you say only the front was raised from the true lotus
design. If this is the case, then it would carry through that the
springs that Stephen sells as original Lotus design are not? 

On my car now, the space between the top of the front tire and the
fender is larger than the rear tire (the rear tire "fills" the well). 
This is why when I first had the springs installed, I was unhappy
because the front of the car looked higher than the rear. When I made
the measurement from the frame to the ground, the front and back were
within 1/4 of a inch (if I remember correct).

Here was Stephen's reply to me when I expressed a concern to him about
the way the car "looked"

IMHO, the car looked best with the cut springs

confidence now. I look forward to the future improvements that James
recently spoke about, I just hope they dont require yet another set of
springs!

I will try and take some pictures of how it looks now this week, My car
will be in Long Island at PJ Grady for the next few weeks.
