I think you are referring to the small top hose attatched to the radiator.
If so, and you have the original radiator, be very careful when removing it.
The original radiators tend to crack easily; which might also be your
problem. If the radiator has not been changed since the car was new, I
suggest replacing it. I got the updated brass radiator from PJ Grady, and it
works great!

Anytime you remove a hose from a presurized coolant system, it's my belief
that you must bleed the system.
