[DML] Re: History Channel Documentory/Epoxy covered Steel Frame

Regarding the steel frame - According to Mr. Mike Loasby, former director of 
engineering at DMC Ltd., the company had intended to use a stainless steel 
frame, but abandoned it because of fear of lawsuits. The reason: The 
stainless steel frame is not so good in crash resistance, that is, if you 
crash during winter time.

I don't think the stainless steel frame is dangerous should you crash in the 
summer time. I think it has the same quality (read: better) quality than the 
epoxy-covered frame.

Bryan Pearce sells a new stainless steel frame which looks great. He has 
even re-designed some parts of it to make it better.

QUESTION: Has any member on the DML bought a stainless steel frame? I think 
they sell at about $8000,-
