Bloomington Gold is perhaps the wrong comparison to make.
Bloomington rewards as close to exact delivery state as is
possible with appropriate attention to detail. This means that
if the assembly process leads to overspray on the hood
hinges, you must have overspray on the hood hinges. You can
clean off glue strings, etc. You must reproduce inspection marks,
paint daubs on springs, prop shafts, and any other suspension
components that had them. All accessories must have date
codes that are reasonable for the assembly date for the car -
if the build date was March 5, none of you accessories could
have date codes after February 19th or so because of delivery
times, inventory, etc. Serial numbers are important because
of changes introduced during the build process.

A concours like Pebble Beach is primarily interested in
presentation and historical significance. A Bloomington Gold
car would not fare well against a car that has been "overrestored"
for an event like Pebble.
