[DML] Alternator/Relay question

I'm installing a new Alternator and I have a question. There is a
red/yellow wire jumpered off the Right Engine compartment that connects
to a relay and then goes to the Alternator. I drew up a picture to
better show what I'm talking about. Is this a normal setup? And if not
how should I fix it?
