I have seen a few of these models in the shops here in HongKong. It seems to be an option from the manufacturer (Aoshima) to have bare plastic or the s/s-like finish. Prices here are plastic HK$90 (US$12) and s/s-like HK$110 (US$15) ... what are they fetching on Ebay?

Sifting through Yahoo's auction item i found 3 Chrome plated models of the Back to the Future DeLoreans at http://auctions.yahoo.com/auction/9497095. They are exactly the same as the models produced by Ertl a few years back but how they became crome plated, I have No idea.

The seller says they are NOT put together.

Just thought someone here might be interested.
