Mark, I've been autocrossing for a couple years now but I've never raced the DeLorean. (I have an open-wheel formula car I use for the autocrosses). I will tell you this much, if you don't get your own class, expect to be beat horrendously by the 'vettes. For some reason, the SCCA classes the DeLorean in a street-prepared class only. So not only will you be racing against 'vettes, you'll be racing against modified 'vettes. I will say one thing...if you intend to run your car, make sure your oil is topped up. My DeLorean used to have an oil leak and I remember a few times when taking turns at far less than autocross speed, the oil pressure would drop. NOT a good thing to have happen! I guess it's kinda gratifying to see the DeLorean classed with all the Corvettes, Panteras and Ferraris though. The DeLorean is in B Street Prepared (BSP). I've searched various SCCA results pages and I've never been able to find a DeLorean listed. Good luck with the autocross and post a link to the results! --Rob Hook
