[DML] Life of catylitic converter

Does anyone know the life of the catylic converter. I had an old
Bonneville with a 100K miles and the honeycomb in the converter crumbled
and plugged it up so the engine began overheating. Now that my "D" is
going on 108K I'm concerned.
