Joshua,
I think you may either have air trapped in the system or a bad thermostat.
If you need details on how to get the air out of the system, you can go to
my webpage for details.(under tech tips) You need to bleed the system from
the bleed screw located on the thermostat housing. Also, pressure test the
system. It should hold 15 psi for 15 minutes. If it doesn't, start looking
under the car for coolant escaping. If your thermostat is bad, water will
not get to the left side of the engine where the temperature switch is and
the fans will not come on. When the car is heating up, feel the pipe on the
left side of the engine compartment. If its scalding hot, then water is
getting to that side. (you'll know) Another thing you could do is to jump
the wires going to the thermal switch. This will make the fans run
constant. If your D cools with the fans running constant, you could have
another bad temperature switch.
