[DML] Engine NO. ?

I am in the process of constructing a new window sticker for my D using the 
one provided at the DMCnews website as a template. I have all the info I need 
except the Engine NO. (I assume the NO. stands for "number"). What exactly is 
this number and where on the engine can I find it?
