Jason,
The doors weigh around 80 pounds static weight. If the car is upside down
and you pull the interior door handle the door will easily open because
there is now 160 pounds (door weight plus torsion bar and gas strut counter
pressure) of opening pressure. The curvature of the roof will allow at
least on door to open enough for an average size person to squeeze out.

Of course if the hinges or latches are damaged or the car is underwater or
flying in a BTTF movie none of the above will apply.

BTW the very low profile and wide track of the DeLorean makes for a low
probability of inverting the car.
