[DML] Delorean Viewings and Taillights

Hey, I saw another D in North Austin last week, about a block from where 
I work. It had the wide black stripe...anyboby here? (Darn it, I was in 
the "other" car, wouldn't you know.)

And then, Friday night, I get pulled over in my D after an evening out...I
was fortunately sober and had no trouble there. I think I was stopped
because the officer wanted to get a closer look at my car. He said
someting about my RH taillight being out, and my registration being
expired. Let me go with a warning - after asking a bunch of questions
about the car. :-) Of course, the taillights checked out fine once I got
home, but I've had people notice them fail before. 

So the question is: Do I bother trying to troubleshoot the taillights, or
should I save myself the trouble and buy the updated circuit boards?
