Aaron, that looks like a normal shifter to me. Fifth is in the "right
and up" position while *reverse* is in the "left and down" position.
This would only be a six speed if there is another selection above the
"left and down" position. The picture is taken at the wrong angle to
reveal this.

This is just a run-of-the mill DeLorean shifter.
