You do what you're happy with. Personally, if there's no reason to
change something on the car (eg poor original design, design flaws) why
bother? We have these pipes in stock, you can use a bit of hose if you
wish, and tell everyone it's a great idea if that's your poison. The
next owner will think that's the way it should be and will try to order
that bit of hose when it fails....... you have no idea the number of
"bodged" fixes we have to work through on our customers' cars.
