Have you checked the connection to the warm-up thermistor? It is
hard to get to under the intake manifold but it can be done. Also,
the poor cold acceleration issue could be the vacuum hoses on the
warm-up regulator or the warm-up regulator itself. If these pieces
are working correctly a cold run is a non event. BTW the fast idle
signaled by the thermistor is 850-900 RPM, not 1500.
