I want to know, why is the fan temperature switch always refered to as an otterstat? In the manuals, it is called a thermostat switch (section 1-3-1 of the parts manual). A search of google for otterstat -dmcnews -delorean -dmcforum results in a handful of listings and it is all used as people's last name in german text. Otterstat in german has no meaning according to http://diction.travlang.com/GermanEnglish. Can anyone tell me where otterstat started and why everyone keeps using it although it very much appears to be the improper name?
