A couple of methods may work. One is to push a large screwdriver through the filter and use the handle as a lever or, the best way is to get a filter wrench with a cloth or fiber strap that wraps around the filter to turn it or one of the sears strap wrenches. Of course you can eventually destroy enough of the filter to break the filter seal adhesion to the sealing surface on the block. This problem is minimized if you put a film of motor oil on the filter seal before you put it on. Also tried oil wrench also in case anyone wondering, just crushes it on the end, can't get it close enough to base. > > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Get better spam protection with Yahoo!
