uuuhm - NO !
I don't know why this misinformation keeps showing up, but no, disconnecting
the idle-motor connector won't close it, instead it will remain in any
position.
Most likely it will remain where it was. I didn't find out that mine was
broken 
(the bearings were rusted, but I could fix it) until I tried to move the
shaft
with a screw driver. Well, idle didn't hunt back then :-)
