While I appreciate any and all advice to help fix my problem, the micro switch isn't the case. I adjusted the switch and there is no effect. Now that it is colder, my idle grows higher, around 3,000 now. The more I drive in a higher gear while going slower, the slower the RPMS go and eventually the problem disappears. It is probably only the first 10-15 minutes after start-up that this problem persists. Lastly, the car does not have to be at idle in order for the engine to decide to rev to 2-3K rpms, it will happen while I'm just driving with slight pressure on the gas pedal as well. Thanks again for the help, Dani B. #5003 > > Your Idle Speed Micro Switch isn't making contact with the striker bolt. > > Running the engine when it's warm, press the gas pedal and > gently/slowly let it down.
