Your Idle Speed Micro Switch isn't making contact with the striker bolt. Running the engine when it's warm, press the gas pedal and gently/slowly let it down. You should get stuck with the high-idle condition. Walk around to the back, and push down on the armature/striker with your finger. It should click, and your idle speed should immediately drop down. Same thing if you flick the gas pedal while inside the car. You can try adjusting the striker, but it's easier to just grab the switch from behind and pull up on it to bend the bracket up slightly. Note: If you get random high idle conditions, or constant low-voltage problems with the engine drops RPMs suddenly (including the engine dying), this is also what causes it. The striker is maladjusted in that case, and isn't engaging the Idle Speed Motor in time. -Robert vin 6585 "X" --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "stainlessilusion" <5n-@...> wrote: > > I am starting to have high idle problems as well now.
