Sorry, yes you are absolutely right. There are three versions of oil 
pumps, two depths and two teeth patterns. I discovered it the other way 
around, trying to mount a late pump into an early block.
What I meant was that you can make a 3 litre engine look exactly like a 
DeLorean engine. The journals are all the same size etc etc.
