Jason,
If you lost some of your coolant with the hole in the radiator, you most
likely got air in the cooling system. This will stop the water pump from
circulating the coolant and with the temp switch being on the return line,
it will not heat up enough to turn the fans on. Fix the leak, refill with
coolant, bleed the system of any trapped air and all should be good.
