Dave, I been playing with car for over 30 years now. One thing I had to learn was patient and keeping the goal of the project. My experience with DeLoreans (3) has taught me that unless you increase its performance, in the long run you will be disappointed in the car. I find this especially true today with so many average cars having good performance that will walk away from a D. I view this not as a performance race but a safety issue. If you can not get going fast enough on a highway or pass fast enough, it is a safety risk. In my opinion I would get the upgrade ESPECIALLY IF IT IS FREE!!!!! Besides look at all the information all DeLorean owners will get from your experience and possible long term benefits. Bob
