Mike, I had another conversation with JZD about engine upgrades, after I completed the mechanical upgrades V8 -4 speed automatic, etc. We talked about how the 4 speed automatic fit the frame, and then we talked about the aluminum V8. JZD was really big on state of the art engines. FI, computer, ram manifolds, over head cams, (remember the over head cam 6 in 60s pontiacs? He had his fingers in it. )etc. Consequently, he thought that carberation, aluminum V8 was outdated. However, when I mentioned cost, he understood why I used this engine. This, of course, was back in 1995. Powerful, aluminum V8s are a lot cheaper today. JZD thought that updating the engine in the car was a great upgrade, because that is what he really wanted in the car. Since, it was okay with JZD, it is okay with me!! Bob Yahoo!
