The answer is yes, you can use Don's kick panel to replace the front speakers. However, I'd suggest you use both. Having the high-frequencies bounce off the windshield helps with the imaging of the audio. Some of the better speakers are "separates", where you can mount the tweeter in the dash and the mid-bass speaker in the kick panel. Another bit of advice is to NOT use the stock wire harness for the speakers.
