You aren't the only one, Dick. It's painful when it comes on the Sci-Fi Channel and I have to change it quick. Whichever version it was that came out in the 80's (the version with Sting), was IMHO one of the two worst movies ever made (and I don't know that there is really another that was as bad!). My wife and I went to see it in the theater when it came out. And, for the first and only time in our lives, we walked out about 1/3 of the way through. It was just awful. Then a few yers later we were discussing that experience and we thought maybe it was just our mood that night. After all, Dune (the book) is a classic. So, we rented it to see at home with popcorn and beer (that should make the movies better, right?). This was a recently released "Director's Cut". It was just as bad as we remembered it. We thought we would watch it through to the end just for laughs. Couldn't do it. Dick Ryan Yahoo!
