Thanks for the nice comments....
Just a note, the only thing on my DVD that could be seen on Tamirs site is
the original TV commercials. Everything else on that video is just special
interest news stories and talk shows.
I do plan to add more of these to my website for download when I get the
chance.
Tamir's Eurofest video was very good, but it is very short.
I wish it had been longer.
I also wished he would use Windows Media or Quicktime.
His REAL clips rarely work on my system and are un-watchable when they do.
They are the size of a postage stamp and look like water colors gone bad.
I have less videos, but they are in full screen resolution and consume more
space
and bandwidth. I figure a fan would rather wait for the download and have it
in a watchable form. Otherwise it is useless and frusterating.
You know, if you check out some other hobby forums and see what people sell
videos for, you would be surprised.
Most special interest videos on a niche' hobby sell for an average of $40
and up
for a shitty VHS tape.
As a matter of fact, I have paid as much as $80 for some of the DeLorean
tapes
I have. Most of the VHS tapes I used to make the DVD cost me an average of
$20
or more each. I took the best of all of the tapes, cleaned them up and put
them
on a DVD for $10.00
I don't think it is such a bad deal.
The way I price things is, I look at and I ask myself "how much would I pay
for that?"
...then I sometimes cut it in half.
I figure, if I would consider it for $20.00 I know I would jump all over it
for $10.00!
Toss in free shipping and you have a mega deal.
In a world where a bottle of water is $2.00, and a cup of coffee is $5.00
and we are paying $50,000 for a Chevy - $10 bucks for my DVD is cheap.
