[DMCForum] Re: a real car nut...

That's pretty intense. I've never been shot, or even shot at, but I
have gotten into a road rage incident (wasn't driving the D, and I
stayed in the car) where another driver got out, and pulled a gun on
me. I reported it to the police, and they told me that while I could
press charges, that would only mean that my home address would become
public record, and they would have to release my information to this
guy. And if he really was some crazy dude, who knows how far he'd take
things. In the end, the cop told me that arming myself would always be
a good idea. However, he did tell me that if anything like this ever
happened again, to be as calm as I could, and run the person over.
Don't leave the scene, because that would be a hit and run felony.
Just keep the assailant trapped under my vehicle until the police
and/or paramedics arrive.

Since 9/11, allot of people have finally become empowered when it
comes to self defence. Like when the actuall terrorists took over the
planes, I bet you the passengers didn't do a thing, because they
figured they'd make it out alive. A month later, this happened:

hed

As you can see, people this time stood up for themselves, and took
care of the problem. They were not going to be victims. And if you
really want even further proof about peoples attitudes about this,

Now naturally, the only problem with vigilatism are the opposite ends
of the spectrum, where the act of self defense, becomes erased. This
ranges from impotence, due to fear of litigation in the legal system,
to the chaotic opposite, of people no can no longer judge between self
defense, and punishment. Thus, they have no control over themselves.
Police officers of course are supposed to be our solution to this
problem, but we can only expect them to do so much. After all, aside
from being burdoned, they too are only human, and
thus failable.

In the end, Sue me, and see if I care? At least my ass will be alive,
as well as those I care about. And if he does survive, then I will
walk with both legs into a bankruptcy attorny's office, while his
crippled ass tries to sue me, from that cold, aluminum wheelchair he's
confined in for the rest of his mortal life. That is, if I don't sue
him first...

It's just like the lyics in the song from the East Flatbush Project.
Practical words I live by.

"I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6."
