The  question I always ask, is prove to me the human life is any more 
important than any other mammal species with a brain?

They feel pain, they feel sorrow, they learn and use tools, they have 
rules for their societies,  the wage war  BUT THEY ARE IN BALANCE WITH 
THE ENvironment and aren't destroying this planet.  

Who is really the wiser? and a better species for this planet over the 
next million years?

On it current course of resource depletion and pollution human life is 
going to destroy this planet - which will lead to billions of dead 
people, then how can "protecting" non-cognitive forms of reproducing 
cells be justified?

In today WSJ,  the British study of plankton in anartica has shown 
almost a 90% drop since 1970.  Plankton are the base of most of the 
ocean's food chain.  A very serious "red flag"
