That's what I have.  Probably not significant, but still a
correlation.  I think I'll put a different battery in there
anyway and see if the system voltage recovers quicker from
slow idle.

Exactly what it is, I don't know.

It can't be the timing advance itself because we checked
that.  Sure, it sounds like maybe a loose bob-weight in the
dizzy slinging out too easily, but it can't be that?  If it
were advance, would these symptoms come from over or under
advance?

I don't see anything else that could correlate with timing
advance.  I tried a different ignition ECU.

I think I may go on and install that dizzy I got from Martin
G and replace the pulse coil at the same time.  But first I
need a working alternator, and the a/c pulleys fixed, and
the interior put back together.  I'm still in the middle of
replacing my rear speakers.  I'm going to add sound proof
insulation while I'm back there.
