Ahh, neighbors.
Our city has these "clean air laws" that say you can't burn anything,
ever. Some people I know have a burn barrel in their back yard, and
they use it to dispose of tree limbs and such when performing
maintenance in their yard. A few other neighbors do the same thing,
and they all kind of had a mutual agreement.
Well, the people across the street sold their house, and after burning
some items the other day the new owner confronted them with, "You
know, today wasn't a burn day. That's a $5,000 fine. You better not do
that anymore." Implied threats, etc. So now everyone is screwed
because they've got a tattle tale on the block.
People should just mind their own darn business. Unless someone is
getting hurt, live and let live, you know?
